News of Svenís England Departure Sparks Betting Frenzy
By Daniel Magill
UK Punters are wasting no time in placing their bets as to who will take over from Sven Goran Eriksson as Englandís head coach after World Cup 2006. Eriksson made the announcement on Monday and the bookies were quick to draw up a list of replacements.

Bolton Wanderersí Sam Allardyce currently heads the list of favourites at odds of 9/2, whilst the smart money seems to be on Dutchman Gus Hiddink who is currently Down Under coaching the Socceroos but has made it clear he will be leaving the Australian side after the World Cup and has expressed an interest in the England position.

Hiddink is currently a 7/1 shot for the job, and if he was to be successful, would become only the second foreigner to lead the country.
