|It may be the only domestic trophy that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is yet to get his hands on but following Wednesday night’s demolition of in-form Everton the self-proclaimed “chosen one” and his team have now been installed as favourites to lift the 2006 FA Cup.|
Chelsea assistant boss Steve Clarke was quick to point out after the game that the FA Cup is amongst their top priorities in saying, “The FA Cup is high on our list of priorities. We want to win the FA Cup, Premiership and Champions League.”
Chelsea, who have a home tie against Colchester in the next round are currently quoted at 13/8 favourites to win the FA Cup, whilst their two nearest contenders for the cup, Liverpool and Manchester United have both been drawn to play against each other in the fifth round, and can be found at odds of around 6/1.
After winning the Premiership and the Carling Cup in his first season as Chelsea boss, Mourinho was knocked out of last years FA Cup against Newcastle.
