|The cyber and brick & mortar gambling worlds grew a little closer today when PokerStars.com, an online poker room, announced the hiring of Steve Morrowas cardroom manager. Morrow brings extensive brick & mortar experience with him, having previously worked as a shift manager at the Four Queens Casino in Las Vegas and as tournament director for many of the largest poker tournaments in the world. Included among his credits are the Rio Carnivale of Poker, the Reno Hilton World Poker Challenge, the California State Poker Championship and the World Series of Poker.|
Morrow's job will include responsibilities traditionally held by brick and mortar cardroom managers as well as tasks unique to the online world, including receiving feedback and suggestions from poker players from all over the world. Since PokerStars.com opened for real money play just over two months ago, Morrow is 'thrilled' at the opportunity to build a cyber cardroom from the ground up.
PokerStars hiring of Morrow comes amidst an ongoing promotion that will result in two players from anywhere in the world being sent to play in the $10,000 World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas in May, where first prize will be $2,000,000.
